Dried fruit makes a healthier treat for sugar gliders, and all my sugar gliders absolutely LOVE them. They are convenient for travelling as well as they are not so messy as regular fruit. These dried fruit snacks will not go bad either when traveling so it makes it easier to bring some food with you for your journey. If your sugar gliders do not like the crunchy texture, you may "re-hydrate" the fruit using some warm water.
You may choose from mango or papaya, or a "tropical blend" which is made up of a mix of both. I also have prickly pear, but that is a few dollars more per ounce. I try my best to buy only organic fruits when available in my area. You get one ounce of dried fruit (weighed after drying of course).
Just added! Watermelon! The watermelon is surprisingly sweet! and quite crunchy. A truly Yummy treat!
The texture and consistency of my dried fruit treat can vary with each batch from quite crunchy to leathery. These treats are now used regularly in my home, so your order will always be fresh! In fact, many batches will be made when an order is placed, so consider these "made to order"! All fruits are thoroughly washed, then peeled before being placed in the dehydrator. Most batches are dry in less than 20 hours and therefore there is minimal loss of nutrients.
All these dried fruit treats are made with a dehydrator and no chemicals or preservatives are used. They are safe for human consumption, in fact I LOVE the mango and have to make more quite often as I eat some very day! So feel free to share with your sugar gliders! if they will let you...
Thanks and I hope you and your sugar gliders enjoy these yummy and healthy dried fruit treats.
