Climbing on trees and branches is the most natural thing for Sugar Gliders to do. In the wild they live almost their whole life in the trees. Climbing on the branches helps to keep their nails trim and in shape and chewing at and stripping the bark helps to keep their teeth and gums healthy. Plus they really seem to enjoy it!
These branches are grown in my own yard so they are free of any harmful chemicals and pests. The branches are from "Rose-of-Sharon" bushes. The branches will be about 12-14 inches long(or longer if I find a long box!). Thickness can be anywhere from 1/4" to 1 1/4" thick. I will always try to enclose at least one thicker branch but expect some variation as these are cut from my own bushes when an order is placed. In fact, in the summer, your branches will have leaves and maybe even flowers on them!
If you are concerned about it getting smelly after awhile, that is why I offer these branches at a reasonable price, so you can replace them. COMPARE the price to branches you find in any pet store! Where you may pay $15 for ONE branch! But honestly, I have had the same branch in my cage for 2 months. I have taken it outside, hosed it off, let the sun dry it and it hardly smells. And the fun they have stripping the bark is worth it!
You will get 6 branches total: 2 with hardware to attach to the side of a wire cage, 2 with loops for hanging from the top of a cage and 2 just plain branches (in wire cages you can shove these in the corner of your cage to make a corner perch).
If you have a reptarium and cannot use the hardware or the plain branches, I can put a loop on all 6 of the branches so you can hang all of them. In the options box please note that you have a reptarium.
Other Options: If you want random holes drilled in your branches to stick treats or acacia gum, please note it in the options box.
